Hi all,
i’m using Oruxmaps with Andromaps MTB style. In my region, where i usually go to ride, there are some buildings which can be used as weather shelter: these buildings are tagged with “shelter_type=weather_shelter”. I’ve seen there is no icon for this tag combination. Is it possible to add it? I think it would be very usefull.

Do these shelters contain also amenity=shelter? This is rendered with andromaps MTB (but only on nodes, not on ways). shelter_type only further refines amenity=shelter and shouldn’t be used without it.
Have you tried the cycling version of Elevate? This also contains all MTB tags and should show shelters on ways too.

I’ve done a tag check on all these shelters: everyone of them is tagged with amenity=shelter + shelter_type=weather_shelter. So:
Andromaps MTB: they are not rendered.
Andromaps cycles, Andromaps hike, Elevate cycle: the ones tagged with building=hut are rendered, the ones tagged with building=yes are not rendered.

Have you any permalink for those shelters?
The building tag shouldn’t interfere with the rendering of the shelter symbols. If they are ways that would be the reason that they are not rendered in Andromaps MTB. But if they are correctly tagged (and haven’t been added after the last update), they should be rendered with the other themes.

Hi Davide,
everything works as expected – all your examples are rendered in Elevate/Cycling, the last one as alpine_hut as this has higher priority.
They aren’t rendered in Andromaps MTB as the first two are only shelters defined on ways, and here only shelters defined on nodes are rendered, as this example here:

Andromaps MTB is a pretty old, basic theme, so there are many things missing like that. One of the reasons why I included all MTB tags in Elevate.
