“The security certificate is not trusted by your device.”

ModeratorPerplexity:
Android 7 and older versions lack support for some newly issued certificates due to changes in the certificate authorities used by providers like Let’s Encrypt. Since February 2024, Let’s Encrypt discontinued the older cross-signed certificates that were necessary for Android 7 and below to trust their certificate chain. This has caused apps and browsers on Android 7 to fail SSL connections with errors like “Trust anchor for certification path not found.” The issue stems from these older systems not having the latest root certificates (such as the ISRG Root X1) pre-installed or recognized.
To mitigate this, users on Android 7 can manually install missing root certificates such as ISRG Root X1 to restore trust, but many apps by default may not trust user-installed certificates, as Android 7 changed how user certificates are handled in apps. Some alternative browsers like Firefox use their own certificate store, bypassing this limitation.
Additionally, many providers and SDKs updated to support Android 7 devices by including the necessary root certificates directly in their apps or by recommending app updates to maintain compatibility.
In summary, Android 7’s lack of support for new certificate authorities causes SSL trust failures, primarily due to Let’s Encrypt certificate chain changes in 2024 and Android 7’s stricter handling of user-installed certificates. Fixes include manual certificate installation or app updates to bundle necessary certificates [1][2][3][4][5][6].

September 19, 2025 at 00:22 #58368mbe57
September 19, 2025 at 00:26 #58369Sheygetz

Fertig. Bei mir hat das ohne Probleme funktioniert.
