You announce that in maps from 1 Dec 2016, right and left cycle tracks are mapped. However, they do not appear to have got into the latest map of Great Britain (2 Dec 2016) – see http://www.openstreetmap.org/way/364571458
I notice too that the tag-mapping-min and tag-mapping-urban code at the bottom of https://www.openandromaps.org/en/map-basics-2/tag-mapping do not include cw_track_right or cw_track_left.Voluntary and Velocity themes - https://voluntary.nichesite.org

You are right.
A Problem synching Dev-PC an rendermachine.
Aktually a new mapset is going to be produced.Best regards
ChristianDecember 12, 2016 at 00:06 #14750JohnPercyParticipantI downloaded the new Great Britain map today (969880 kilobytes when unzipped, dated 10 December 2016) but cw_track_right and cw_track_left are still missing, I think

December 14, 2016 at 20:49 #14771ChristianKKeymasterYou are right,
(Sh…..)
As these tags (:lane/:track) are transformed to one tag (cycleway) it srews up when right/left are tagged on their own with lane/track.
@Tobias: Sorry, we will have to change this tocycleway_track=
cycleway_lane=… or something like that…

ChristianDecember 18, 2016 at 16:30 #14837TobiasKeymasterYes, makes sense. So:
cycleway_track=cw_track_right
cycleway_track=cw_track_left
cycleway_track=cw_track_both
cycleway_lane=cw_lane_right
cycleway_lane=cw_lane_left
cycleway_lane=cw_lane_bothNext update?

December 22, 2016 at 00:13 #14907JohnPercyParticipantFor completeness, should you now also include cycleway:left=opposite_track etc.?

December 29, 2016 at 09:48 #15017JohnPercyParticipantBilateral and unilateral cycle tracks and lanes are now working fine, thanks. However contraflow tracks and lanes are only indicated by oneway:bicycle=ow_bic_no, as alluded to above, and the lane or track can’t be shown.

December 29, 2016 at 22:51 #15025TobiasKeymasterHi John,
when cycleway=* was added to OAM, Christian was against adding opposite lanes, see here (in German):
https://www.openandromaps.org/kartenlegende/elevation-hike-theme/comment-page-2#comment-6719But I found another issue with the tagmapping:
http://www.openstreetmap.org/way/438013275
This one contains cycleway:left=track AND cycleway:right=track, and both can’t be rendered with the current tagging.
@Christian: can this be transformed?
cycleway:left=track AND cycleway:right=track to cycleway_track=cw_track_both
cycleway:left=lane AND cycleway:right=lane to cycleway_lane =cw_lane _bothElse we have to do cycleway_track_left etc….

December 30, 2016 at 00:53 #15027JohnPercyParticipantWith the help of Google, I think I understand Christian’s argument but I don’t know if all of his concerns need apply now that he is mapping tracks and lanes separately and allowing asymmetric mapping (which I take to mean lanes/tracks on left or right).
Viele von diesen Varianten lassen sich in Mapsforge IMO gar nicht darstellen da sie eine Renderengine benötigen würden die asymetrisch rendern kann.
I suppose to some extent it depends whether you render cycle tracks and cycle lanes differently, which I am currently working on.

December 30, 2016 at 08:14 #15032ChristianKKeymaster@Christian: can this be transformed?
cycleway:left=track AND cycleway:right=track to cycleway_track=cw_track_both
cycleway:left=lane AND cycleway:right=lane to cycleway_lane =cw_lane _bothYes, of course – done.
As for the other shared, opposite, aso.. stuff:
If anyone has a good idea how to include this to OAM without adding more bugs (there are tonns of variants) than information and stay within the limits of mapsforge RenderThemes I will do it.Best regards
