Hello,
I’m new to OSM maps, tags. I read in a thread (https://www.bountysource.com/issues/29962723-render-cyclelane-cycleway-left-right-lane) that cycleways:left|right are not rendered in openstreetmaps.
I discovered this “issue” because cycleways near my house are correctly tagged but don’t show in OSM and in the maps I download for my phone on openandromaps (theme : elevate/elements)
Question is : in the elevate/element theme, is it possible to display cycleways:left|right when bicycle render theme is activated ?
Thanks!

in the maps only cycleway=lane and cycleway=track are included (see here), so those above can’t be rendered at the moment. Maybe it makes sense to include or transfer those tags (and other related ones).

July 17, 2016 at 13:50 #11012ChristianKKeymasterIs it now possible to render cycleway:right|left – means to render ways asymmetrical with mapsforge V6?
Rendering cycleway=lane without any information where these cycleways a situated cause a lot of confusion.
E.g. I’v found a dedicated cycleway on the EV6, tagged as road+lane in the Wachau where the lane is rendered on both sides of the Road and in reality its only on the right side.So if iit would be possible to render lanes on one side of the road it would be possble to transform various taggings to (eg) cycleway=lane_left|lane_both|lane_right
Best regards

I can try again now. Locus could be a problem though, I tried using the same code for tunnels but that didn’t work out.
