Thank to Stylemenu and Layer options, with categories, it’s easy to condition some displays to the fact that an option has been selected.

Is it on the opposite possible to condition a display to the fact that an option has NOT been selected ?

In particular, I’d like to condition hillshading to the fact that a given option is, or is NOT, selected.

To be very specific, in my theme, there are two options
    – do you want to have hillshading at zoom levels 9-12
    – do you want to have hllshading at zoom 13-17
This was easy to set up and works fine.

But I’d like to be able to add a 3rd option :
    – when hillshading is there (ie. depending on ZL and answer to previous options), do you want to have it “light” or “strong” (ie. which magnitude)
and of course,I do not want to have two check boxes, one for “strong”, the other for “light”, but only one checkbox that mean “Strong” if checked, and “light” if unchecked (or the opposite, no matter).

After have thinking about it, it seems to me that it is not possible (at least with current features of Mapsforge).
But maybe I’m wrong, and more experienced users than me have a solution to propose !
This is the reason for I’m asking !

The style menu in render themes can only turn on / off theme rules.

Important: hillshading is not a real theme layer, but a map tile layer
and so better managed by external code and UI settings of the apps.
