Massimo
ParticipantGood morning,
I’m wondering if and how I can find out the version of MapsForge installed in OruxMaps (v. 7.4.26) on my Samsung J5 2016 Android phone.
On the phone in question, I installed the latest version of the .map, .poi, and Elevate 5.2 files, and it works fine. If I replace Elevate 5.2 with Elevate 5.6, the screen doesn’t display any maps.
Thank you for your attention.November 20, 2025 at 15:34 #58521
TobiasKeymasterYou’re using an old OruxMaps version, current is 10.7.4.
Elevate 5.3 and newer need mapsforge 0.19, that’s why the legacy version 5.2 is still available in downloadsDeveloper of Elevate mapstyle

ParticipantHello, if I remember correctly this is due to the versions of the libraries, version 7.4.28 of OruxMaps has the mapsforge 0.19 libraries that do allow you to see the latest versions of Elevate. Greetings
PS: sorry, I didn’t see that the issue of bookstores was already mentioned-

ParticipantGood morning,
I thank all the members who supported me. With the advice provided, I solved the problem. I installed the indicated version of Orux 7.4.28, which, although not expressly listed in the “changes” section, evidently has the MapsForge 0.19 libraries. This allows Elevate 5.6 to run correctly and Orux to function perfectly, even on my obsolete Samsung J5, running Android 7.1.
Kind regards, Massimo-
