Hi,
The OpenAndroMaps tag mapping XML introduces the “ref_cycle”, “ref_hike” and “ref_mtb” keys but those can not be used in valid Mapsforge render themes (pathText, caption) as the textKey is restricted to “ref”.Please consider to fix/update the tag mapping so OpenAndroMaps can be properly used with valid Mapsforge themes.

It depends on what text tags are allowed in the map file specification:
– POI: name, house number, elevation
– Ways: name, house number, reference

All Mapsforge Projects have their own mapping and themes. These will never work when mixed up.
All the mapping and theming is the result making things work in a limited env.We will not change the whole WOrking Project and cutting off features to fit some nice test evaluations.

Even though that this time the issue will be most probably resolved on the Mapsforge side, consciously producing maps/renderthemes which do not correspond with the most basic format specification is a road to hell no matter which euphemisms one uses for the process of the basic format validation…
