country gives the flag?Voluntary and Velocity themes - https://voluntary.nichesite.org
May 13, 2020 at 10:02 #35711mbe57ModeratorAttached is such a DB content and its strcuture.
If I had time, I’d create a SQLite script to extract all of those. Maybe later this week, or next.
Cheers
MichaelMay 13, 2020 at 10:23 #35723ChristianKKeymasterIt would not be possible to “Flag” all PoiDBs cause there are numerous maps covering more than one country.
May 13, 2020 at 10:54 #35743mbe57ModeratorHow does Locus do that for the Bundesländer in Germany, e.g., for which they have all separate Maps, but only one flag ?
May 13, 2020 at 11:36 #35747JohnPercyParticipant[EN] This is the same issue as for (say) Northern Ireland in the United Kingdom, the data for which I gave above. LoPoints displays the flag of the UK with the title of Northern Ireland and subtitle United Kingdom. Maybe Locus walks back through regionid? Maybe it’s sufficient to put the data in the database and let Locus do it’s magic. It’s certainly not obvious.

LG, Christian
May 14, 2020 at 21:00 #35972steffenParticipantChristian,
May 15, 2020 at 08:19 #35979pixParticipantHallo zusammen,

Christian, TXs for your XLS – just sent you updated version with Europe filled in.
I will continue with the other continents if your smoke test is OK.
Cheers

May 15, 2020 at 11:22 #35993ChristianKKeymasterThanks Michael,
This will last a while – I’m busy with the Website.
May 15, 2020 at 14:43 #35996ChristianKKeymasterFür die Germany_South liegt keine POI Datei

May 17, 2020 at 21:09 #36041TobiasKeymasterThe pois in the poi-files are not the same than on the maps.
WHY?? : For me it makes no sense to include Viewpoints, Peaks, Ruins without Names/Descriptions
every little Parking, etc.
Its fine in the map but NOT in the poi file where people search for Points and a huge, useless result_set is returned.
Basicly its a problem of „overmapping“ in the OSM Database.
In the area where I life there literally EVERY Parking lot where a car can be squeezed in is mapped.
Every viewpoint where someone took a selfy. At Dürnstein every broken down wall is mapped as a seperate „Ruin“.
in short – without filtering this is a lot of useless information.Hallo Christian,
