“<pathText k=”ref_hike” …> shows only one character “M” of the route name.

Thats lazy tagging

Not the Name is shown but the first 5chars of the REF of the Route.
IF there is no REF I try to Assemblel the REF out of the NAME. means that I take capital letters.
Lonvia uses the same way to render Route name/refs

Why?
Cause NAMES are usually too long.
And the REF normaly is shown on the waymarks
