We’re happy to announce that VTM (OpenGL vector map library) has Mapsforge / OpenAndroMaps themes compatibility, thanks to really nice work by community.
You can see VTM OpenGL rendering OpenAndroMaps maps with Elevate theme at Mapsforge forum announcement!
And work to provide more compatibility with Mapsforge / OpenAndroMaps themes continues!
September 3, 2017 at 21:08 #19844Congratulations to everyone involved, looking forward to test it!

Cruiser GL can now read Mapsforge / OpenAndroMaps themes!

Thanks for your great work!
Best regards
ChristianSeptember 23, 2017 at 11:34 #20251Cruiser GL seems to render incorrectly with Elevate. In particular I noted:
– spurious one way markers
– outside lines on bridges missing
– dashed lines render incorrectly (eg with extra short dash between the main dashes)Screenshots from Cruiser GL and Cruiser attached below for comparison.

September 23, 2017 at 12:47 #20256Hi John,
thanks, there are some other issues as well. Haven’t found the time to check it thoroughly though. Another thing e.g. is that dy on ways isn’t supported.– dashed lines render incorrectly (eg with extra short dash between the main dashes)
This just looks a bit different, but the extra short dash is also there with mapsforge and on purpose.
Any issues with Voluntary UK?

The issues with Voluntary UK are nearly identical to those with Elevate:)
“there on purpose” = “undocumented feature” = “known bug” ??September 23, 2017 at 13:09 #20261„there on purpose“ = „undocumented feature“ = „known bug“ ??
No bug, just stroke-dasharray=”11,1,1,1″ – shows that no trail_visibility information is given.

September 23, 2017 at 14:06 #20268There is an extra short dash even if the first number in the stroke definition string is 0.
Maybe that only crops up in my themes. I used that to centre different dashed paths on the same points; for example, overlaying long dashes on shorter ones.September 23, 2017 at 14:08 #20270Hi everyone,
– Line symbols didn’t work correctly, I’ll fix them in VTM and will be included in next Cruiser version.
– For the stroke-dasharray, Tobias is right, that’s the rule in both libs.
– Bridges: what rules they have, two line strokes, one wide and one thin?
– Line dy is not implemented in VTM (#232) yet.
Thanks for the feedback!
