To be true I’m not sure if it’s a render issue, an issue in Locus or something else. Please advice if I should contact someone else.
Ceck appended pictures, please:
Overview: I have some Poi’s (?) of special type. They don’t follow the same scaling as the others. I have hundreds of them which distubs map overview. (red and blue. I marked just a few)ZoomIn: When zoomed in the other Poi’s comes in (green)
Detail: The blue ones have a detail page. The red one doesn’t
I would like to get rid of this special scaling.
P. S.
The shown area is “Laufen am Neckar” in Germany. I’m using Locus V4.July 5, 2021 at 22:24 #44069mbe57ModeratorWhich maps are you using?
Which POI databases are installed?
Do you have PERSONAL POIs in this area?July 5, 2021 at 22:53 #44071CabrioTourerParticipantGermany Oam South or Mid (not sure where the border is)
Downloaded from openandromaps some days ago. Used the “Android install on Locus Map&Poi” button.
I can’t say for sure if I had it with older openandromaps versions. No personal Poi in this area.
Thanks for the questions.
It was the reason to check different theme. I have it only in Elements. With Elevate 4 and older Element theme I don’t see this Pois at all.
Don’t know why I choosed Elements.
Theme Elevate (openandromaps) was downloaded some days ago.
(No theme setting switches it on or off).So for me using Elevate is fine. But still interested what the reason is.

1) POIs that are embedded in the MapsForge .map file and are rendered based on the theme rules – you can see them but not “touch” them, i.e. no details available
2) POIs from the POI database coming with the OAM package (the .db file with same prefix) – those can be switched on and off in Locus and they have details available
That should explain what you expereince. BUT you may ask why not all the POIs from #1 are in the .db file …
That is something only Christian can tell in detail, but he is traveling right now.
Cheers

Elements isn’t made to be used here, see in the legend:
Elements is a modification of Elevate and is made for sparsely populated/mapped areas or countries, mostly backcountry usage, e.g. the outback of Australia, Iceland outside of the cities etc.
Elements contains the same map styles and details as Elevate. Only all content is shown as soon as it is contained in the map. Therefore the colored dots at low zoom levels aren’t necessary.
In densely mapped areas this variation is not recommended, in those it is slow and unclear.Developer of Elevate mapstyle
