Hi,
In tagmapping, we have:

<osm-tag key="access" value="destination" equivalent-values="customers" renderable="false"/>
<osm-tag key="access" value="permit" equivalent-values="license,fee,toll" renderable="false"/>

In my opinion, customers should be considered equivalent to permit, rather than destination. Especially as license / fee / toll are not documented values for access. Don’t you think so?

There is also the tag fee=yes|no; it does not seem to be included in tagmapping. Maybe it could be added? Or tranformed to access=fee, when there is no access tag?

I think it’s still more like destination, as customers don’t have to get something in advance like a permit/pay a toll etc.
access=destination is also used for customer parking sites.

It might make sense to include it, maybe as equvialent to toll=tl_yes, as then it still would apply when another access value is present.

Indeed; I was looking at some unconventionally tagged ways when I suggested that. Should have thought twice before asking 🙂

This would allow to differentiate paid parkings, paid toilets etc

Should work for parking and toilets with the new Elevate 4.5.1 and the next map versions.
