A month ago, I downloaded five V5 maps to Locus from this website: Austria, Hungary, Slovenia, Northern Italy, and Slovakia. I used them during my trip.
After the trip, I deleted all the maps except Slovakia.
However, when I checked the Locus storage size, the user data still took up 2 GB.
I tried deleting old or unused files in the Locus settings, but it didn’t help.

Any suggestion? I do not want to delete user data manually yet.

How do you know that 2 GB are used? From Android App management?
I am using x-plore file manager to stay in control of storage.
It has a „Disk Map“ feature that shows the sizes graphically.
Select the Locus root folder and then tap the Disk Map icon.
That will work easily if you are on an older Android (10 and below).
If you are on a newer Android and if you have installed Locus in /Android/data structure, then I would move it to /Android/media, to which x-plore and other file managers have proper access to use first mentioned method.
ut sometimes a simple restart of Android frees up zombie files.

Move the Locus Maps Folder to Android/Media – Locus itself provides a Tool for this.
After moving you can access the Locus Folder on Android/Media by any Filemanager and delete the maps + poi files

I tried it—when I moved the vector maps directory to Android/Media, Locus size changed to 1GB. I thought it was solved, so I moved it back to private storage, and bam… 2GB again!

In the end, I had to reinstall the app.

P.S. Another weird thing is that Locus showed 500GB right after installation (without maps). This is strange because the install file downloaded from the Play Store was only 30MB.
