From looking at “ © Copyright – openandromaps 2012-2015 “ in footer I assumed that map styles should be used as-is and modifying them is acceptable only for a private use.
On downloading style I found „This map style is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License“.
Maybe it would be a good idea to amend text in the footer? I opened map style files only because I planned to write a new one from scratch and I wanted to look how complex style may be expected to look like.
Mai 7, 2018 um 21:34 Uhr #23358TobiasAdministratorElevate was once independently started, but soon Christian offered to include it on OpenAndroMaps. I used the CC-license mentioned above, which you can find on the Elevate download page as well in the readme file. So for this, the only still actively developed style you can find here, it’s pretty well documented.
For the legacy AndroMaps styles – Christian had his own styles in the beginning, but later based them on Elevate, so that’s why they also have this license (except for his MTB style, which I think is still original).
Most forks are now based on Elevate, so it seems that the not very easy to find license for AndroMaps is not an issue.Developer of Elevate mapstyle
