In south west Wales, in Pembrokeshire, south of St Davids, the land surface of a large section of the map has the blue sea background making all of the roads and paths in the area appear to be underwater. The affected map quadrants need to have the code for the proper background applied to these areas. See screen shot attached.

November 25, 2014 um 20:17 #3115Hi Lund,
Thanks for reporting, I switched to a new version of the new land-polygon database and those problems are not unusual.
Most likely a self backing up coastline. I will correct this in the OpenStreetMap database – however, its like a hydra, you strike off one head and seven more are growing upEdit: With the latest Version (online from thursday on) this problem will be resolved.
best regards,
ChristianNovember 26, 2014 um 09:33 #3123Thanks, Christian. Extremely fast response!
I use these maps all of the time and have supported the project financially in the past. I have just returned from a week’s holiday in Pembrokeshire in the „underwater“ area which brought the problem to my attention.
During the time between the last two map releases someone has added to the map all of the individual houses in the road where I live in Chester. That was unexpected. Can anyone edit the maps, and what tools are needed?
Regards,
Lund
November 26, 2014 um 11:33 #3124Hi Lund,
The maps are based on the OpenStreetMap Database, a project where everyone can participate in.
Here is a beginners guide:
http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Beginners%27_guide
http://learnosm.org/en/beginner/introduction/As editor I recommend JOSM, in the beginners guide you find the download links.
Once you have registered theres a screen in your account where you can find active mappers in your area – there are usualy several local usergroups you can participate aso..
It a real great community – join itBest regards,

But please only correct errors, don’t remove anything if it is there in reality:
