Hello,

I wil be taking a tour in Greece in about 3 weeks. I have downloaded the Greece map and it appears that all of the text uses the Greek alphabet.

However, when I look at the routes on Ride With GPS using the RWGPScycle base map it shows place names in both the Greek and Roman alphabets. I also just looked on OpenCycleMap.org and it also shows place names in both Greek and Roman alphabets.

I thought that OpenAndroMaps was based off of OpenCycleMaps so I am wondering why I am only seeing Greek alphabet on OpenAndroMaps. Is there any way to change to display Roman alphabet? I am using Locus Pro (now Locus Classic) on Android 12

There are three languages available in the Greece map:

german
english
greek

Just switch to your favorite language in the map propertys of the Greece OAM-Map in Locus Map-Menu (right in the map manager at the greece map)

Basicly the OpenAndroMaps is based on OpenStreetMap (as the OpenCycleMap is) and OAM uses the Mapsforge feature to store more than one language in the maps.
Locus with Openadromaps and Cruiser and some other Apps make use of this option – however at the start of a map the defaut language the OSM-Objects are mapped in OSM ist active.
