I’m a long time user of OpenAndroMaps (thanks Christian 🙏) with LocusMap

I recently came across that IGPSport BSC300 „Bike Computer“ that seem quite nice so I look at what kind of map it could be using.
Download a map from their web site, it looks quite similar to the map format used by OpenAndroMaps.

So I’m wondering if there could be a chance that I could use the maps I love on that device.
Of course, I understand that I wouldn’t benefit for the great Elevate maps style as this would be rendered by BSC’s own style, but may be it would not be too bad.

Has anyone tried that ?
Or could at least someone let me know if IGPsport map format is close enough to OpenAndroMaps so it may works ?

I just download Andorra from their website and it’s working in Locus.
What I did not validate is the rendering details controlled by the themes…
So there is a very high chance OAM will work on that device.
If you find out how they handle the themes, you even „inject“ elevate into their app.

Indeed I also downloaded one of the IGP map for France and it was working in Locus but with much less details than OpenAndroMaps.

It’s not a very expensive bike computer (around 140€, depending on the options) but still too much to purchase one „just to test“ 🙁

It all boils down to the tags they are using in their map generation, and the theme.
Without that information, predicting the outcome on that device is like rolling dice. And I doubt that company will disclose (for OAM evrything is fully transparent). You might ask them, though.
And do you have a community around you that might own such a beast?
Because real life testing is the gold standard for answers to such questions.

I assume the performance of this device will not be sufficient to render all details included in oam.
