I kindly ask for advice regarding the map update
I use Oruxmap on Android and in the presence of a new map I download with the automatic procedure „Install Android on: ORUX Map + Pois“. The question is whether before installing the new version, also in order to avoid data increases in memory, it is necessary to uninstall the previous version and / or other files from the sd card where I transferred the files?
I point out that so far with each update I uninstalled everything (program, map, dem, elevate 4) and then I installed everything again

Hi Massimo,
i also use Orux and Maps/Theme from here. I never uninstalled anything before i updated a map.
Just install the map, as you do, with the „Quick-Install“ method.
After that, you could see with a file explorer on your phones filesystem, that size & timestamp of map and poi is updated.
Same for the Elevate theme, just „install“ and it properly gets updated.

This is only necessary when file names are changing, which we try to avoid. Only if the file name changes the older map isn’t replaced.
