[Eng] In order to get offline address search to work in Locus, Locus maps and data are needed. This also applies to popup address details, Note however that if the OAM maps and database are put in the Locus mapsVector folder, the OAM database blocks the popup address function.
The good news is that if both the OAM maps and database are put in a subdirectory of mapsVector instead (such as mapsVector/oam/) LoMaps data is used for the pop up address and functionality is restored. The OAM maps work properly, LoPoints work for both LoMaps and OAM data, Offline address search works for LOMaps data only, as OAM data contains no addresses.
This is slightly odd behaviour and its continuing usability cannot be assured.

The Poi.db will have to be installled seperate by clicking a button next to „LOCUS“ map download (=quickinstall)

So
1) Users of LoPois and OAM maps have no problems with interfering OAM/Locus poi databeses and users.
2.) Users with no need for address search = not purchasing LoMaps can easily add OAM-Pois

There were some issues with transfering data to the FTP-Server over the weekend – this should be resolved and from monday on the new scheme will be online:

Map Download includes:
[map]_oam.osm.map
[map]_oam.osm.poi (Orux pois)

Seperate Download (quick install only) for Locus OAM pois:
[map]_oam.osm.db

@john: a new poi.db for UK is ready for download with en/ger replacements for no_names in Pois

Thanks for the new files.
Your new arrangement may be best at present but I’d just reiterate that putting both oam map and database in the same subfolder of mapsVector is currently the only way for LoMaps and oam databases to coexist. In addition to the points I mentioned earlier, this also enables poi data pop-up for both LoMaps and oam maps.

[Eng] It is not as straightforward as I thought. With my arrangement, addresses in Wales were not working.
But it looks as if Locus might look at the folders in alphabetical order – try renaming the oam folder to zzz-oam. That worked for me.

 Es sieht jedoch so aus, als würde Locus die Ordner in alphabetischer Reihenfolge anzeigen. Versuchen Sie, den oam-Ordner in zzz-oam umzubenennen.  Das hat bei mir funktioniert.

There may be a better way:
Put all the OAM maps and databases in a new folder that is not part of the Locus hierarchy. So, instead of <storage>/Locus/mapsVector/zzzOAM/ use just <storage>/OAM (the actual path of „<storage>“ will depend on your device set up).
Now add that folder to the locations where vector maps are stored:
– map manager
– (+) button
– external maps
– (+) button
– select folder with OAM maps and data
– (✓) button
This won’t work with a folder that is part of the Locus hierarchy (though I think that is a bug).
This seems to work for me. I think it ignores the OAM databases for reverse address lookup (address pop up on long tap) and with no Locus databases it falls back to an online search for that. This may be what some of us are wanting.
LoPoints search and display works with OAM poi data.
If you are interested could you please check and see if this arrangement works for you and let me know.

 Legen Sie alle OAM-Karten und -Datenbanken in einem neuen Ordner ab, der nicht Teil der Locus-Hierarchie ist.  Verwenden Sie also anstelle von <Speicher> / Locus / mapsVector / zzzOAM / nur <Speicher> / OAM (der tatsächliche Pfad von „<Speicher>“ hängt von der Einrichtung Ihres Geräts ab).
 Fügen Sie diesen Ordner nun zu den Speicherorten hinzu, an denen Vektorkarten gespeichert sind:
 – Kartenmanager
 – (+) Taste
 – externe Karten
 – (+) Taste
 – Ordner mit OAM-Karten und -Daten auswählen
 – (✓) Taste
 Dies funktioniert nicht mit einem Ordner, der Teil der Locus-Hierarchie ist (obwohl ich denke, dass dies ein Fehler ist).
 Das scheint bei mir zu funktionieren.  Ich denke, es ignoriert die OAM-Datenbanken für die umgekehrte Adressensuche (Adress-Popup bei langem Tippen) und ohne Locus-Datenbanken greift es auf eine Online-Suche zurück.  Dies ist vielleicht das, was einige von uns wollen.
 Die Suche und Anzeige von LoPoints funktioniert mit OAM-Poi-Daten.
