Hi,

on beta V5 maps, hiking routes are not displayed properly when they go over highway=steps, see attached screenshot, near the center of the map.
I was thinking that it may be a render issue but the same route is displayed properly on latest V4 maps using Elevate 4.5.2 and 4.6.0 beta.
There are two routes using those ways, this one and this one. I checked both of them in JOSM and they validate properly.

Hi Juanjo,

The area in question is under construction by a user named Juanjo### ( 🙂 )so any debugging is useless.
If the problem still persists in a week or so I will take a brief look.

IF it persists this would be not that funny cause it would mean that there is a bug in the resolving of the relations.
… thats possible cause I speeded up this part of OAM by factor 50 …
I rewrote the scripts from scratch, tested for many days – but, you know…

Hi Kristian,

I’ve been editing this area during last week and, indeed, touched those ways, so yes, it might be that I broke those routes at some point (even if it would surprise me as I take additional care when editing ways which are route members).
I will stop editions in this area for the time being, just let me know here when a new map is available.
In the mean time I checked the routes again in JOSM and Waymarked Trails and both looks correct.

IF it persists this would be not that funny cause it would mean that there is a bug in the resolving of the relations.

To reassure you, if you look at my screenshot, the route is displaying properly when it goes through these steps 😉

A bug that was a feature in the beginning of OAM.
The limit for Ways in the scripts was set to ID=1Billion , this was good enough for 2010 but…

All ways not rendered were > 1B
So Limit removed an ist works .

I see, I splitted the way West to ‚Bar Maria Rosa‘ restaurant into several ones because it was tagged as steps all along, which is not the case, and new ways received IDs > 1B 😮

The original way was created 6 years ago and has ID 379449550. More than 600M new ways in 6 years, not bad…

Off topic question: which theme are you using? I can not see those beautiful white/yellow squares on V5 maps using lastest Elevate beta .

If you use Locus just direct install a map – the ElevateV5 is installed along with the map and Elevate4X

strange, this is the one I use as well, the screenshot on the first post of this thread is OAM V5 + ElevateV5 on oruxmaps. I reinstalled the theme just in case, I see the svg files in ele-res folder but still, I can not see them on the map.

Should I notify Tobias? As far as I know he uses oruxmaps as well, if there were an issue with this he should be aware by now.

Switch the waymark layer on in the theme options
Its disabled by default.
