I wonder about pieces of art that I have mapped into OSM: in Locus 3.57.1 with the latest NL map March and theme, I cannot select the art as POI, and then also the website is not shown: here is an example:

The current tags are:

artist_name=Herman Lamers
artwork_type=statue
name=On top of the world
tourism=artwork
website=http://hvdol.nl/database/product_info.php?products_id=19538

I tagged sometimes as artwork_type=statue, or as sculpture, but same effect.
BTW, works fine in Maps.me and OsmAnd: POI is selectable and shows the URL.

tourism=artwork should be in the POIs, at least I can find it in the POI-list in OruxMaps; I don’t have the current POI-mapping; I tried an artwork in OruxMaps and it’s clickable, but it doesn’t have a website tag – but a wikipedia-tag, which is also omitted.

Hi Friends,

Im still on a short holiday trip with my family so I cant make any changes.

So far I found out there are TWO tags:
tourism=artwork (in POI cat tourism AND sightseeing AND as Icon in map)
tourism=artworks (in POI cat tourism AND NOT as Icon in map)

I will unify this and set tourism=artworks as eq to tourism=artwork

As for wikipedia tag: this is skipped with pois.
I will check if Locus/Converter is able to make this tag clickable and add it to allowed tags.

Ahhh…

I forgot: The POI-Converter for Locus has its own TagFilter and Menu-Tree.
Artwork have to be added by hand to the script…..

OK, tourism=artwork is now included in POIs
IF !! there is at least a NAME or a DESCRIPTION

Locus is limited for linking tags:
You can only place ONE URL/Telnr/MailAddr in the link section.

I have now implemented that Wikipedia/Wikidata are always in the general tag section (not clickable) and ONE URI is clickable in the following priority:

Website
Wikipedia
Wikidata

You have to delete the cache when you add new POIs, they persistently remain in the cache.

New Maps/POI-Files should be available next week for Europe.

Great news, wonderful progress.
One remark: what about also considering the OSM tag ‚url‘, as in:
https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:url
I add into OSM either ‚website‘ when there exists the ‚owners‘ website, or alternatively I sometimes use ‚url‘ when there is another website that describes the object. So the effect can be that indeed both are present. I would then consider the order:
website
url
wikipedia
wikidata
