ParticipantDear forum, thanks for this service.
Some day ago I bought a Samsung Galaxy S3 Neo; I installed OruxMaps and I tried to install Alps map by OpenAndroMaps. I connected my smarphone to computer by USB cable and I copied the Alps.map in GT-I930\Phone\oruxmaps\mapfiles and the OAM folder in GT-I930\Phone\oruxmaps\mapstyles.
When I try to see the Alps.map OruxMaps tells me I am seeing the Alps map but I see a only the general map of Europe and Africa. I don’t understand what I am mistaking.
I’ll be gratefull I you may help me.
Thank you very much
Regards

KeymasterHi Andrea,
could you try this:
– Maps menu, switch map, offline, alps (if alps is not visible, press the circle with the two errors)
– Maps menu, center map, center of map
– zoom in (via +-button etc.)
Is it still not visible?
Best regards,

ParticipantDear Tobias,
thank you very much for you quick reply.
I tried to follow your second tip without success.
I don’t understand the first tip when you spoke on “circle with the two errors”
Good night.

KeymasterDear Tobias,
thank you very much for you quick reply.
I tried to follow your second tip without success. It’s one tip, with three steps, please follow them all. If you have OruxMaps in a different language, maybe you should switch to english so the names of the menu entries are the same as mentioned above. You can do this by: menu, global settings, application, select language, en_US. Now hit the back button until OruxMaps closes and start OruxMaps again. Then try the above steps again. You get into the maps menu via the map icon in the red bar.
I don’t understand the first tip when you spoke on “circle with the two errors”
See the attached screenshot – the icon next to the question mark in the red bar on top. It means refresh map folder.

ParticipantDear Tobias,
excuse me if I don’t replied to your post but I was been influenced.
I followed every your step without problem, but I didn’t solve my issue.
When I switch map into Alps my display becomes white and if I zoom out
the Europe and Africa map appears.
Have you some other tips to attempt?Thank you very muc.
Kind regards

KeymasterHi Andrew,
don’t zoom out – zoom in. If it’s all white, your zoom level is too low. What is your zoom level if everything is white?
And make sure you are inside the map borders, easiest via maps menu, center map, center of map (as above).
Best regards,
