Hi,
it seems that amenity=watering_place + drinking_water=yes are not present in OAM. May I ask you to add them as well as adding them to the POI database?Cheers
December 7, 2021 at 13:28 #46179ChristianKKeymasterdrinking_water= yes ist set as Eqivalent to amenity=drinking_water and therefore included in the pois
If you found a Node where this rule fails please give me the OSM-IDamenity=watering_place means: Water quality suitable for animals
Thats not included in OAMDecember 7, 2021 at 14:07 #46181JuanjoParticipantHi Christian,

That I know and, as far as I can see, they are displaying properly in OAM.
amenity=watering_place means: Water quality suitable for animals
Thats not included in OAMMy point is that there are cases where water of watering places is perfectly suitable for humans as well, this is very frequent in Spain. You can see an example here: https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/2719695084
As you can see this one is tagged as amenity=watering_place + drinking water=yes. One can say ‘well, just tag it as amenity=drinking_water’, but then a second node is needed for the watering place which makes no sense.
BTW, the ‘No ensucien el agua’ sign means ‘Do not dirty the water’, this is because animals, specially cows, would not drink from the drinking trough if the water is dirty. They are very demanding about water quality 😉Cheers
December 7, 2021 at 17:46 #46214ChristianKKeymasterHi Juanjo
I also use these watering places to refill my drinking bottle.
Unfortunately, the whole thing has become a legal problem in our stultified age.Maybe I will enter these places as cattle watering places in the POI ONLY.
Its on TODO
