Hello,
It is the second time this happens to me: after a password error when trying to login to the forum (and I think I only tried a single attempt!), it seems my IP address gets blacklisted, and I can’t access openandromaps.org at all for some time (I guess about 24 hours). Maybe you could allow at least 3 different wrong passwords, and blacklist the IP for something like 15 minutes only…

fail2ban is already set to 2 retrys in wordpress_hard filter.
Well, I set ist to 3, hope this helps.

Sorry for troubles, however, I have to use these tools in a strict way, otherwise I have spam to the max – OAM is a very popular server….

I understand you need to protect against spam; but my home IP is still blacklisted after 3 days. Maybe you can enable some captcha instead? Not sure spammers use a fixed IP anyway…
