Can be useful, so I’m in favor of adding it; unfortunately the tagging in those I checked isn’t quite as good – the name e.g. should be the exit name and not the station name, but quite often it was the latter.
Also railway=train_station_entrance for all other kinds of railways makes sense.Developer of Elevate mapstyle

Although it’s defined as Node I would always add as way, too, as these things might change and already some map differently :-). But rendering should be the same of course.
