I have OruxMaps v.7.0.2 on an updated Samsung Galaxy S9 (Android 10).
When I click the “quick install” links (map and theme), Oruxmaps shows “downloading”, and then “unzipping” – but the “unzipping” carries on forever.
What should I try now?

I suspect the problem lies with Orux rather than OpenAndro, very probably something to do with permissions – are your maps stored on your memory card rather than internal memory? Mine are and it maybe that Orux has to ask to manipulate files in a certain way. Or unzipping is blocked in some way, either by Samsung or by Android in its latest version.
I think you have to go for a manual download and install old style – which is tedious.April 13, 2020 at 16:02 #34848MartinBonnerParticipantNope, not using memory card – just internal memory.
April 13, 2020 at 16:06 #34850CyklonikParticipantThen I suspect unzipping has been blocked – you could install an unzipping app and then download the zip files to your tablet and use the app to go from there.
April 13, 2020 at 16:28 #34852MartinBonnerParticipantIt’s much simpler than that. As per this thread in the OruxMaps support, we need to upgrade to version 7.4.22 of OruxMaps by downloading from https://www.oruxmaps.com/cs/en/more/downloads
April 13, 2020 at 19:02 #34855CyklonikParticipantI’ve got Orux 7.4.22 and it doesn’t work 🙁
And now I remember I had to install the winzip app to unzip something.
