Hi @Tobias
Thx again for your excellent Elevate theme that I use on Orux and mapsforgesrv.
For some time now, I’ve been often switching between your theme and @FrankSchoeneck active_RT5 ones (which I found more interesting on some points like low-zoom info and mountain terrain differentiation)
I took the initiative to make a variation of your theme corresponding to my use: alpine hiking
So, I started with your version 5.3.1 and I made a set of changes, more or less well applied (I didn’t find a GUI to edit it nor an xslt generator for your theme as well as for Franck’s) directly in Elevate.xmlThis results in nono-rc2 which you can find here
– Branch nono
– Zip the release
– Details of the changes.
I put everything on GitHub (including your original theme on main branch) but if you have a problem with it, let me know and I’ll remove them to work on my private Gitlab.
However, I find that the idea of being able to exchange via issues or PR allowed all users to make their feedback and propose evolution easilyI will be delighted to have your feedback as well as the members of the forum!
Thanks in advance,

February 3, 2024 at 16:56 #55335TobiasKeymasterHi Arnaud,
thanks for letting me know. It’s perfectly fine for me as long as the license is included – as you have. But you should remove the commercial license in your fork, as for forks only Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 can be used.
I also attributed locususer1 in the license for the osmc symbols, so this is covered 🙂

Thx for your feedback!
As I’m not very fluent with license, I removed the commercial part in nono branch https://github.com/nono303/mapsforge-theme-elevate/commit/808f28a4460a7ab2f2eb59ffd259a1f0d2cf1429 Correct?
Do you want to also remove it in in main branch – your untouched version?
Also, have you a GitHub account to be mentioned directly in my Readme?
Regards,

no, you can share the original Elevate with both licenses. I have those two licenses, so that commercial apps can include an unmodified Elevate without having to use the same license; and the other license, so that anybody (like you) can modify and share as long as it’s under the same license. So if Elevate is modified, the commercial license can’t be included anymore. So correct 🙂
No, I don’t have an active GitHub account.
Best regards,
