Summer Update, EBike_Charging, LIDAR

Dear hiking, cycling and outdoor enthusiasts,

The major summer update of the maps is now online.

What’s new:

The LaserScan elevation data has been further improved and extended by @Sonny. We recommend downloading the complete Europe maps again to avoid ghost lines in overlapping areas with the old elevation data.

The ebike charging stations are now better organised into POIs – the corresponding rules can be found here
Basically, there are 3 types of ebike charging stations, whereby only those that (also) provide Schuko sockets are included:

• Completely cost-free, public ones that do not require any consumption (restaurant, hotel, etc…)
• Free ones, but which are only or primarily accessible to customers (restaurant, coffee, hotel, etc.)
• Fee-based, but where no prior registration/customer card is required.

One note on ORUXMaps: The latest version of ORUX is required for the correct display of maps and POIs.
If you don’t like the new ORUX user interface, you can switch back to the old interface in the settings.
